Pilates has a variety of Pilates spring based equipment to challenge the entire body. One of the most commonly used is the reformer.
This piece of equipment has a moving carriage bed that has springs attached, a foot bar & hand & leg straps. The reformer gives you a challenging workout usually starting with footwork to centre the body & to help connect to the core/ power house as a warm up.
The reformer is a very popular piece of equipment in studios and for home use. Excellent for toning and lengthening the body great piece of equipment you’ll love!
The pilates mat is wonderful for sculpting the entire body just by using your own body weight & can be done anywhere. Often the pilates magic circle & hand weights are used to complement the mat workout.
Classical pilates mat was originally taught with 34 exercises performed in a set order with a specific amount of repetitions. The more contemporary style classes often include props such as the swissball, foam rollers & resistance bands to include extra variety to workouts.
